Did you know that Main Street does more than planning events in the downtown area? We also do a lot of projects to better the downtown. You can catch a glimpse of us putting in new trashcans and recycling bins downtown, scheduling the banner rotation, and managing the watering rotation of the flowers down town. Gift Card Giveaway During COVID-19

During this hard time globally, our small businesses were getting hit hard. We decided to buy gift cards for our local businesses to give the community some incentive to shop locally. First we passed them out on the streets and in small businesses, then we took them to the owners of the businesses to give out freely. We could't be happier with the way this turned out, our town is so creative, we love to see Wilmington show their love to small businesses.

Paint the Town

 In the beginning of the COVID-19 Pandemic Main Street Wilmington took the initiative to organize a town-wide public art event. This began in the historic downtown area with our volunteer artists painting the windows of our local businesses to bring some cheer to the people of Wilmington. We wanted to continue to spread the joy around all of Wilmington so we began a social media contest for all of Wilmington to continue to paint encouragement around town.
