Our historic downtown is home to locally owned businesses of all kinds, and Main Street Wilmington works to promote those existing businesses and to open the doors to new opportunities for entrepreneurs looking to establish a downtown home. We also organize community events and work on beautification projects to make our downtown an inviting and vibrant place to be.

You are invited to join our Downtown Wilmington 4th of July Parade! Bring your group, your car, your horse, your tractor or even your semi and join us for a 250th celebration you won't forget!

A bourbon-filled evening of sips, bites, sweets, and serious fun. Stroll through downtown Wilmington and enjoy stops at local businesses, each featuring a bourbon, bourbon cocktail, or bourbon-inspired dessert, with food along the way. Whether you're a bourbon lover, cocktail fan, or just looking for a fun night out, this event is for you.

HOMETOWN HOLIDAZZLE illuminated parade

At this annual holiday festival presented by TimberTech you will find lighted tractors, horses, semi-trucks, marching bands, Christmas trees, golf carts, giant turkeys, musical cars, electric scooters, and children of all ages...lighted and marching, driving, singing, scooting, playing, and riding on marvelous dazzling floats filling Main Street with their amazing sights and sounds! And of course, no holiday parade is complete without the arrival of Santa Claus!
