Christmas at The Murphy Theatre
Built in 1918 by Charles W. Murphy as a gift to the community, The Murphy Theatre originally served as a venue for vaudeville, concerts, and films. After the Murphy family sold the theater in 1985, a local group undertook its restoration, and it is now a community-owned landmark that hosts a variety of performances, films, and events, supported by volunteers and local grants.
When you step through the doors of this beautifully restored gem it's like stepping back in time. Plan to see the incredible Drowsy Lads Christmas Show on December 6th, and the annual (and adorable) Charlie's Classic Christmas Show December 19 - 21st. |

Before you leave the downtown be sure to head east on Main Street and see the giant U.S. flag painted on the Buckley Bros. Grain Silos, which have stood over Wilmington for nearly 70 years. Measuring an impressive 40 feet wide by 85 feet tall, the mural is thought to be the largest painted American flag in the state of Ohio.
