Join in the excitement and help celebrate the Clinton County Bicentennial with red, white and blue Fan Flags. Look at our Downtown during the week of May 1st and see all of the businesses that have purchased Fan Flags to display on their store fronts. What a great show of patriotism! (Contact Steve Brown 283-9265 before May 1st if you are interested in purchasing a Fan Flag for your home or for your business.)
A general clean-up of the four main Downtown blocks is scheduled for April 28th. The City workers will be lifting the sidewalk grates for cleaning, and volunteers will be working to “poof and fluff” the mulch and sweep the sidewalks. Join us if you can! We need you! Contact Christine at

With the help of the Wilmington Garden Club and Swindler&Sons Florist, and the City of Wilmington, the cement urns and overhead hayrack planters will be decked out in red, white and blue flowers commencing May 18th.
Funding for this project was obtained through the General Denver’s Ladies Martini Tasting Evening, and through the Floral Arranging Seminar hosted by Swindler&Sons Florist, as well as through private donations from Wilmington residents. A huge thank you for your support!
Thanks to David Hinman of DP&L, there are four old rusted electrical poles that are currently being removed and replaced with new poles. Another successful project to help beautify our Downtown!
