Main Street Wilmington - 2010 Event Schedule
Main Street Wilmington Promotion Committee’s goal is to promote community excitement and involvement in the downtown to strengthen commerce and promote a strong sense of community. Promotions creates special events and develops a positive image for downtown. Collaborating with downtown business owners and volunteers, Main Street Wilmington is making Downtown Wilmington a better place to shop, work, and visit. Scheduled events for 2010 downtown are as follows:

- Jan - May Janine Sodini Merchants' Coupons and Specials Through direct mailings. Contact chair if you want to receive these announcements or participate as a business
- March 19th Jennifer Purkey & Eric Wogomon Euchre Tournament at the General Denver Euchre, dinner and cash bar. Tournament starts at 6:30 PM.
- April 16th Christine Krisa & Jennifer Purkey Taste of Downtown Wilmington Local Restaurants Consumers can tour the downtown and enjoy tasteful samples of products available at downtown shops and restaurants.
- May 22nd Steve Brown & Ed Black DGA (Downtown Golf Around) & Caddyshack Party A progressive putt-putt golf course at 18 locations in downtown. Refreshments and prizes. Golf Dress up at the General Denver in the evening.
- June, July, & August Cindy Shivers & Leilani Popp Brown Bag Lunch Series at the Murphy Theatre Thursdays at the Murphy Theatre. Assorted musical entertainment with free admission.
- June 18th Mark, Taylor & Steve Brown Blue Grass Concert at the Mural Parking Lot Live music, food, and beer.
- July - Oct. Taylor Stuckert & Mark Rembert Famers' Market at the Mural Parking Lot Wednesday afternoons and Saturday mornings. July 16th Mark, Taylor & Steve Brown Blues Concert at the Mural Parking Lot Live music, food, and beer.
- August 6th & 7th Eric Wogomon 6th Annual Downtown Yard Sale Downtown Wilmington Friday 10 am to 5 pm & Saturday 10 am to 2 pm on the sidewalks of downtown.
- August 20th Mark, Taylor & Steve Brown Rock Concert at the Mural Parking Lot Live music, food, and beer.
- Sept. 18th Pat Thompson OSU Tailgate Party at the Mural Parking Lot Projector of the OSU game, food, games, OSU sales and beer.
- October 30th Dan Stewart Halloween Bash Downtown Wilmington Trick or treat, games, food, costume contest, and tons of fun.
- November 26th & 27th Sandy Mongold Merchants' Holiday Open House Downtown Wilmington Decorated for the holiday season and featuring gift ideas and specials for the holiday shopping. Annual gift cert drawing and window decorating contest.
- November 27th Rob Jaehnig Hometown Holidazzle Downtown Wilmington 4th Annual lighted parade and festival beginning at 2pm with the parade at 7pm.
